Automatic training station of the ATS-1-20 type is designed for training and automatic determination of the output capacity of sealed batteries of the NKGK-11...15D and KCSL-11D types used as a power source in head lamps of the SGG-5 and NGR type, methane detectors combined with mine head lamps, such as SMS-2/1, SMC4, SGM and SMGV, as well as batteries of the "D" size, for example, SANYO KR-5000DEL or SAFT VRE D 5500, used in SVG Luch and SVG Luch 2 lamps. The use of automatic training stations makes it possible to charge and discharge batteries in accordance with the technical conditions on them, to detect defective batteries by training (by conducting several charge-discharge cycles) to bring the batteries to their nominal capacity. In addition, the determination of the actual capacity allows forming batteries from batteries of similar capacity, which increases the efficiency and reliability of using batteries in lamps and methane detectors.
